Healthy Pie – the fruit of Titus 2

Here's the pie! The four of us almost took it down. It is a lot more delicious than it looks ;) . You can't expect blended up avocados and nuts to be anything other than brown.

Tonight I got to eat a DELICIOUS and amazingly healthy pie for dessert!  Yum.  It’s a carob-avocado cream pie made from carob powder, cashews, avacado, almond milk, shredded coconut, and medjool dates.  It was amazingly good, and no added sugar!  Even Luke loved it and had seconds!  You’ll have to ask my wife for the recipe.  Its from Joel Fuhrman (http://drfuhrman.com/).  We’re big fans of Fuhrman’s approach to eat in order to maximize nutrition (or in other word, Eat to Live, as one of his books is called).

This is the fruit of my wife’s Titus 2 ministry.  Here’s what the Apostle Paul tells Titus:

They [older women] are to teach what is good, 4 and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled. (Titus 2:3-5)

My wife has some younger women over and they talk about life and God while making delicious meals and hanging out with our boys.  And I benefit greatly!  :)
