From very early on Luke has had an affinity for music.  Since he was about 10 months he’s been “playing” the drums, which he calls the “boom booms”.  He’s gotten fairly good… or at least loud.  He does have great rhythm and good form.  He regularly plays the big set in the basement and his kid-sized set in our living room

Recently he started taking an interest in guitars.  He would point to them on stage on sunday mornings at church and say “Tar!”.  So we got him a kid’s guitar off Craigslist.  Every day he goes and gets it, sits down on his little seat, and plays and sings.  He likes to sing songs about “mama” and “papa” and often he sings “holy holy”.  He does not have any cords down, but he has great form and facial expressions!  Mighty heart-warming!

He also loves dancing. He now loves to join in the worship music time at church and dance and sing.  On Sunday mornings he says over and over “SING!”.  Here he is dancing with some friends in a display window at one of those mall stores that blasts music.

We both love music, so we are both delighted that he has such a strong interest! We hope to see him one day leading God’s people in worship!
