I know this is super late!! But I just got done ordering all of our wedding prints, and we attended our friends’ (Rob and Mindy Warland) wedding this last weekend and it reminded me to tell the story of our awesome wedding weekend.
I am not really sure we deserved the amazing wedding God graced us with. It was an absolutely wonderful weekend. I will, of course, never forget it, and when I think about it I can’t believe it is part of the story of my life.
The best part about it was the people who were there. When we began to plan our wedding, our biggest priority was to have the people we cared about there and that they would all have a good time and see God’s miracles in our lives and theirs. We really didn’t sweat much of the details! I’d have to say I was a very relaxed bride.
The girls all rollin’ in to town was the beginning of the excitement for me. I have the most intriguing and talented friends! Here’s some of the bachelorette party pics:

Hannah... who saved my emotions

Krystal...who brought so much energy!

The very next day was the rehearsal day…. and i still hadn’t purchased flowers!! I tried to the week before, but 3 flowers for each person was seriously $1,000 so i waited last minute to buy bulk flowers from… somewhere… I didn’t know where. Thank the Lord, Hannah was with me all day and helped me pick out a TON of gorgeous flowers at the farmers market. She also became my flower designer that day.
Hannah…my dear servant friend
Then it was time for the Rehearsal dinner, (which I never knew could be so much fun):
Ridin’ to the church with my hubbie-to-be
Then we all walked over to Bucca di Beppo’s for dinner:

This ended up being the rowdiest table in the place

For some reason, everyone started hugging the Mo, everyone.

Then Eric gave a speech. I REALLY wish we had this one on tape. I know he graciously included that he would take me if Paul didn’t…. Eric, you are great with words.

Eric's debonaire speech
Then he ended by encouraging us to, “hurry up and consumate the d*&$ thing!”

Ending with a bang
And the two girls that I couldn’t have met Paul without! No wonder we were so attractive to Paul and his friends… Erin and Mel, you are so much fun.

Another typical and magazine-esque photo of Erin and Mel

Walking back

Then the girls and I went back to our hotel for a sleepover, the boys went back to theirs. We did girl stuff and finished the flowers for the ceremony.

The Mo took his best man job very seriously.

May I please have the rings?
God is so funny. The pastor, Cor, is the director of LDI, the program we did in 07-08, COMPLETELY unbeknownst to us at the time of the wedding. Cor later said that after the ceremony he was thinking in his head, “well, see ya in heaven!”

With this ring... a symbol of my love and faithfulness

No one will tell me what was exactly said during this speech. The wedding party and some others went on to continue their evening. We went back to our hotel. I can only guess, since they won’t tell me, that the speech had something to do with that. And it must have been funny.
I could never have imagined God would give us such an amazing wedding.
