In Portland for the Holidays!

by Paul ~ December 10th, 2007 at 11:21 pm

Kaelin and I will be in Portland for the Holidays! God willing, we will be there from December 15th until January 5th. We have a break from classes and are using some airline points (praise God for those!) to visit Paul’s family. Kaelin has not met a number of Paul’s family, so this will surely be an exciting time!

If you will be in Portland, we sure hope to see meet up with you!

We do not have class until January. We are using this time to plan out some of the ministry stuff we’ll be doing next spring. Our main push right now is for “Hands and Feet”, the name we’ve given to the revitalized service ministry at Hope. The name refers to how we as the body of Christ should be his hands and feet in our communities, going out to serve, heal, and encourage, which is the model of a humble servant that Jesus portrayed. Right now we are planning our Hands and Feet class, a 6 week class focused on why we should serve, how we follow God by serving others, and how we can people at Hope to be more actively involved in service. The ultimate objective of the class is to help raise up leaders who will help encourage and guide others into service and will ultimately raise up other leaders (in other words: disciple making). We’d appreciate prayers for God’s guidance for this class!
