Thankfulness

by Paul ~ November 23rd, 2007. Filed under: Us.

We hope you all had as wonderful a thanksgiving as we did!  We spent the day with Kaelin’s family and it was so much fun.

This last week we’ve been really thinking about how thankful we are.  Especially in this last year we’ve had SO much to thank God for:  our wedding, our honeymoon, and moving to Minnesota to do LDI.  We are also so thankful for the wonderful families we have and the encouraging and loving friends, both the ones nearby and the ones scattered about the country.  We are also thankful for Hope and the wonderful community we’ve come into.  We thank God for all of you.

We are especially thankful for all those who have been supporting us financially, in prayer, and with encouragement.  We could not be doing this without you!!!  May God give you so much to be thankful for this coming year!

A few people have just hugely blessed our lives this year, going out of their way to give us a reason to be thankful:  Bart and Lorelei, the couple who is letting us stay in their extra room this year; Tony Ding, who took such beautiful photos of our wedding; Robert Norman, who put together an amazing wedding video for us; Teresa, for Kaelin’s hair at the wedding, which left me awestruck; Hannah, for the huge help at the wedding; Marc, for welcoming us into his house for a month in Denver; Chuck Hitt, who put us up for a week in his condo in Puerto Rico while we were on our honeymoon; Forrest and Liz, for putting us up for 2 weeks at the beginning of LDI; Scuba Steve, for watching our cars on our honeymoon and really going out of his way to be helpful all the time; The Mo and Eric for the fun Bachelor party; Eric for having us in his house and doing so many wonderful things for us all throughout the year, including our engagement gift; Elliot for helping us move out of CA; our wedding parties for all their help at our wedding; Colin, for flying Kaelin out to Colorado to go up to Vail with us; and of course Cor, for marrying us and for casting a vision for LDI that’s changed the course of our lives. :)
Really we have SO many people to thank… and are so thankful that God has blessed our lives with such amazing people.
